Part-time Outreach Assistant
Join a growing child welfare nonprofit to support the administrative aspects of the organization’s strategy to reach the optimal size for serving children in foster care in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
As Outreach Assistant, you will support the administrative needs of the outreach team, providing first-step communications with volunteers who are interested in becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Providing effective communication, you will ensure that the outreach team can meet the short and long-term goals of our organization.
You will:
Work with outreach team to understand prospective volunteer pipeline and process for becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate
Gather inquiries from a variety of sources
Perform data entry in internal tracking documents, cloud-based data management and e-news systems
Correspond with prospective volunteers in a timely manner
Post volunteer opportunities to various community calendars and send public service announcements to a variety of vendors and community stakeholders to increase reach
Other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Hourly Rate: $16.50/hour
Schedule: 8-12 hours per week. Can work fully remotely with the option of coming into CASA’s offices. Meeting times will be set at mutually agreed upon times. Otherwise, schedule is flexible.
Benefits: This is a part-time internship and is not eligible for paid leave or benefits.

Development Consultant
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince Georges’ County seeks a contractual Development Consultant to provide support to the executive leadership in development and execution of our fundraising strategy for FY26 and beyond.
Work with a well-respected, award-winning, child welfare nonprofit to guide the philanthropic elements of the organization’s strategy to reach the optimal size for serving children in foster care in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
You will increase and diversify CASA’s revenue and elevate its donor engagement, and bring strong advocacy for our mission and a dynamic approach to donor engagement to meet the short and long-term goals of our organization.
Experience: Minimum 5 years professional fundraising experience including campaigns, grants, mailed and electronic appeals. Experience working with Prince George’s County, MD and/or DC Metro area funders preferred. Previous experience within child welfare field is a plus.
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with and support leadership and Board of Directors in creating and implementing strategically aggressive fundraising plans to meet annual and long-term goals
Research, prospect and steward individual and corporate donors including major gifts (to include entire stewardship cycle and managing donor database management). Ensure sufficient gift pipeline to meet revenue targets.
Create and implement plan to celebrate 25th anniversary in 2026.
Manage grant cycle including research, coordinating submission and reporting as well as writing corporate and foundation grants.
Plan and execute all aspects of fundraising events
Write all materials (letters, e-appeals, social media posts, thank you letters) for appeals and discrete campaigns utilizing messaging that connects donors to CASA’s mission
Coordinate creation and execution of sponsorship packages, ensuring offered marketing opportunities are fulfilled in a manner that fits CASA’s brand
Prepare fundraising reports for Board of Directors and collaborate with Board Fundraising Committee
Collaborate with Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach Specialist to develop new partnerships that meet a variety of organizational needs
Terms: This is an independent consultant contractual role.
Compensation: $75-150/hour, commensurate with experience
