Baltimore County CASA is hiring either one full-time or two part-time Advocate Supervisors

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Advocate Supervisor provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers, ensuring that children receiving the services of a CASA receive quality advocacy with appropriate permanency planning. The Advocate Supervisor position supervises and supports volunteers to oversee and implement the direct service of the CASA program. The Advocate Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The position of Advocate Supervisor is an exempt position. The incumbent will be assigned to the CASA office and will be subject to organizational policies relating to hybrid/remote work, including in-office Core Days of Tuesday-Thursday. Some travel will be required for case-related activities and trainings. Some evening and weekend hours will be required in order to provide support and training for CASA volunteers-in-training, or for ongoing in-service training and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Advocate Supervisor shall have the following education, skills, and experience:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field, such as Education, Psychology, or Counseling; or a Law Degree

  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in a child welfare or similar setting; a familiarity with juvenile court proceedings related to abuse and neglect cases is highly desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of family dynamics and issues related to child abuse and neglect

  • The ability to communicate with and support volunteers to be effective advocates

  • The ability to work cooperatively with people of different personalities, lifestyles, cultures and backgrounds

  • Commitment to CASA’s mission and vision

  • Ability to use word processing software, Excel, and database programs

Job Type: Either one full-time OR two part-time positions open

Pay: From $41,600.00 per year
