Maryland CASA Association celebrated its 10th anniversary at our
5th Annual Light for Children Reception on Thursday February 7,
2008 at the Governor Calvert House in Annapolis, MD.

There will be a documentary on foster care airing on Maryland Public
Television (Channel 22 in the Baltimore area) at 8:30pm.  At the end of
the documentary, MPT will feature "10 Ways to Get Involved with Foster
Youth in Maryland," and CASA will be one of the organizations

Monday, May 19 - Friday, May 23, 2008

CASA will be taking part in the "Forgotten Children" event to be held on
the Washington, DC Mall.  Edward Kilcullen, Executive Director of the
Maryland CASA Association, will be interviewed on 1420 WNAV Radio
Friday, May 16, 2008 during the Bill Lusby
Good Morning Annapolis
show at 9:30am about the event.  In addition, Mr. Kilcullen will be
interviewed on Fox 45 WBFF on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 6:30am.

Maryland CASA staff and volunteers will be staffing a booth and will be
available to discuss CASA with event visitors.  Information about CASA
will be on hand for distribution.  Volunteer recruitment is a major goal
of the event, as well as increased public awareness.


Sunday, June 22, 2008

Maryland CASA Association staff, board members and volunteers will
be staffing the Maryland Public Television (Channel 22) pledge drive
3pm-7pm.  The CASA logo will be featured and Edward Kilcullen,
Executive Director, will be interviewed about Maryland CASA
Association and its contribution to the community.
