Join CASA supporters from across the state in raising public awareness and needed funds to serve Maryland’s abused and neglected children. Maryland CASA Association is putting together a team of runners to participate in the various races held during the Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Runners may participate in any of the following races:

• Marathon
• Half-Marathon
• Team Relay
• 5k
• Kids Fun Run

With help from Maryland CASA, runners will solicit pledges from generous donors and all proceeds will support our efforts to raise public awareness and recruit more volunteers to serve more of the state’s 10,000 children living in temporary foster care today in Maryland. Please help us make this event a great success!

Here are some of the ways that you can help:

• Run! Everyone is welcome to be a part of Team CASA! We need a minimum of 50 runners to form a team.
• Recruit runners – spread the word about Team CASA to your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc.
• Help with planning – volunteers are needed for the event planning committee.
• Help out on Marathon Day – volunteers are needed to staff the CASA information booth and watering station and many other activities.
